Dry & Liquid Screeds

Here at Eazylay Concrete, we offer both traditional and liquid screed to suit your project-specific needs.

Liquid Screed:

Liquid Screed is made with a mixture of cement, sand, water and often other additives to help improve its flow and performance. It is designed to be poured onto a subfloor to create a smooth, level surface for the next layer. Liquid screed is typically easier and faster to install in comparison to other traditional methods as it flows into place and self levels.

It is commonly used in residential and commercial buildings, particularly in areas where underfloor heating systems have been installed due to its excellent level of thermal conductivity. Once set, our liquid screed boasts an exceptionally high degree of strength and durability.

Traditional/Dry Screed:

Traditional floor screed is widely used in the construction industry. Traditional floor screed, meanwhile, is made from sand, cement and water, and has a higher content of sand than liquid screed. To install traditional screed the screed is spread manually onto the desired area, before being compacted and levelled.

Although both liquid screed and traditional floor screed can both be used for flooring applications, they each have their own unique properties, making them better suited to different use cases.
